28-30/10/05 food diaries

the most that i can remember:

28th Oct:
can't remember clearly what i hv eaten during the day...just remember that we have had a v. big meal at home to farewell my housemate's parents, other than beer, we bought cheese and crackers, different types of ham, SALAD CREAM/DIPPER, 咸豬手, mixed pepper etc. etc., all of these were to go with those indian bread...and i ate a lot !!

29th Oct:
eaten a few cheese and crackers that left fr. yesterday...and half an indian bread with ham and stuff... Mr. Yau cooked us the last lunch...can't remember what dishes we hv had...just remember the soup was tomato & potato soup... hv had the same dinner, in a smaller proportion, as the nite before

30th Oct:
toasts and drink for breakfast, chicken congee for lunch with added 豬肉鬆 (under control!), then......FULL OF SWEETIE GOODIES TODAY!! i tried to make choc. pudding ( 心太軟 ), and boy i've done it!!! obviously due to the lacking of appropriate containers it looks a bit funny ( and too large as a pudding ) but it taste good! the ingredients were enough for me to make 2, the first one failed coz i baked it too long, with correction in baking time, the second one was really delicious, with those molten choc. rushing out from the pudding!! though it's quite heavy but i love it! well...persuaded myself not to feel so guilty coz i'm sharing it with my housemates instead of eating it alone!
after my choc. pudding my housemate made his cake and of course i did try out a few slices! at nite i just hv a veggie meal to compensate for the day...i love sprouts, it taste good to me and it make me feel full! here's my 奶油小椰菜...without any oil!

26-27/10/2005 food diaries

26th Oct:
  • breakfast: 1 granary bread + 1 wholemeal toast + drink
  • lunch: farewell with Ronalda @ canteen...ate a vege. cheese pasta+potato wedges(??...or maybe potato cubes....size larger than chips and was deep- fried for sure!)
  • dinner: spagetti by Mr.Yau...Mrs. Yau said he's learning from her.... personally think it's not as gd as his chinese food...anyway...i've eaten 1 and a half plate.
  • late nite: i'm full after dinner but just feel like eating some more and so went back to my room and opened a "tube" of crisps..first aimed to just eat a few...finally eaten the whole tube...yes..the whole tube of crisps at one time by my own! uncontrolable..eating disorder again...xxxx!

27th Oct:
  • jumped 25 mins. rope b4 breakfast
  • breakfast: 3 wholemeal toast + tea (tea=with milk, plain tea= chinese tea without milk)
  • lunch: a bowl of cereals with milk
  • at work: 2 scones, 2 biscuits, 1 small dark choc.,1 jam dougnut
  • dinner: fried egg with tomatoes, mushrooms with lettuces, luncheon pork, canned "fung-mei " fish, 2 bowls of rice

20-25/10/05 food diaries

too many days gotta include ....can't remember all the stuff that i have eaten but i m definitely sure that i have eaten an awful lot of food...no matter they r junk or not....I HAVE JUST EATEN A LOT!!!!!!!!!!
well...when u r in a situation that there is somebody always cooking proper and delicious meals for u...i'm sure no one can resist sitting in front of the dinning table!


20th-21st Oct:
  • can't remember clearly~ just remember we have had 蝦醬蒸肉粒,蕃茄薯仔肉排湯,滷水雞, 生炒牛飯 in these two days...others i can't remember

22nd Oct:
  • breakfast: woke up late so just got a drink
  • lunch: Nando's portugese grill chicken...chicken wings, corn on a cob, salad, lots of chips...a junk food meal again
  • dinner: this is the most "memorable" meal that i have had since i got here! this morning the Yau's family woke v. v. early to get to the seafood market...Mr. Yau then cooked all the stuff at night! we have lots to eat:白灼蝦,蒸蒜蓉扇貝,辣酒煮花螺,豉椒青口,凍蟹,蒸魚(三間魚立?)and also 鹽焗雞...aren't they sound so delicious to u? yeah!! that was really really nice! we invited the driver (marco's friend) and his sister& friends to come and we served ourselves with white and red wine and coke...i just hv the white one, and a glass of coke..not really fancy wine in fact...i'd rather hv beer instead! Served some apples and oranges after the meal.

23rd Oct:

  • breakfast: toasts + instant drink
  • lunch: fried instant noodles...it's gd..what a pitty that i've forgotten to take a pic. of it
  • afternoon tea: two piece of bake-cakes
  • dinner: 魚香茄子,蒸魚乾仔,瑤柱粉絲黃芽白,白飯兩碗
  • strawberries at night

24th Oct:

  • breakfast: toasts+instant drink
  • lunch: rice with food left in the fridge including 1 whole chicken wing, mixed vege. and a bit of 魚乾仔
  • gone to gym after work...but a bit not in the mood today( = lazy! ), worked on treadmill and cross trainer plus doing some sit-ups only...buring abt only ...400 calories as i remembered~
  • the good thing was i didn't stick on choc. at work... unfortunately i was so hungry after gym but couldn't get hold of a toast ( coz Mr. Yau's in kitchen! ) and thus gone back to my room and eaten half a pack of Hello panda!
  • dinner: 金針雲耳肉粒,芺蓉蛋,炒甜椒西芹,白飯兩碗
  • invited by Mrs. Yau to join her peanuts night after shower~

25th Oct:

  • breakfast: crazy! 2 slices granary bread, a slice of wholemeal bread, a slice of cake and a cup of instant cereal drink...just can't control
  • felt guilty and thus jumped rope a while...abt 15 mins i believe
  • lunch: 2 baked sausages + instant noodles + an apple
  • at work: boo: 6 biscuits; cheer: no choc.
  • dinner: Marco's family dined outside and no one cooked for us... ate 米線 prepared by my housemate + grabbed some peanuts as i saw Marco's eating them as well

Butter Cookies 牛油曲奇

之前整嘅:

整過兩次牛油曲奇,呢d係第一次整嘅!都ok好味喎!好香牛油味but比較硬...第一次唔識又懶係要整形狀所以放落焗盤時壓實咗d粉槳...第二次聽daisy講直接一pat咁撻落個盤...再加上焗完有放鐵架吹涼所以第二次脆好多&好味d!

18-19/10/05 food diaries

18th Oct:
toasts for breakfast
cooked instant noodles with 2 sausages and a big bowl of vege. for lunch
back to work and eaten quite a few choc...they r real gd...金莎...有原味.cappachino and reduced fat... all 3 types are so gd!! cappachino ones hv real coffee inside...and reduced fat one is of dark chocolate.....v. v. gd!! sorry guys...i m totally out of date with regard to HK products....most probably this is not new in HK ....just bear with me guys!!
dinner the parents cooked for us again...steamed chinese sausages, fried egg with corned beef, fried vege. ...simple but gd enough...and i ate a bowl of rice...

19th Oct:
toasts for breakfast as usual...plus an instant cereal drink
wholemeal bread sandwich with tuna, cheese and lettuces for lunch
choc. at work...quite a few again...shame on me!!
well prepared dinner again! Soup today!!!!!! pork-shoulder corn carrot apple soup...hvn't drunk home-made chinese soup for a long long time already.....even the 湯渣 r also "v. welcome" by 3 of us...we hv chinken wings and fried 黃芽白.... and maybe today i hv gone to gym, i just hv a v. gd appetite...ate 2 bowls of rice...in fact i believe i still hv room to eat more...but just thought of Chu said last night that i should eat only 70% full ....so... >_< .... just controlled myself!!!!

btw, i briefly counted that i hv burnt abt 600 calories in my work out today....to compensate for my uncontrollable choc.- eating disorder this week...hope it works!!

15-17/10/05 food diaries

15th Oct. JUNK FOOD DAY
the most healthy meal in the day was my breakfast--cereal. starting fr. lunch it's completely out of control: hv had a v. super junk food meal in a bar...beer, fries, meat meat meat, grill, fish and chips...3 ppl ordered in total 4 plates, 4 LARGE plates, of super junk food.... v. enjoyable meal...i didn't start to feel guilty until we'd finished the 4 plates! had a walk in town, messed around department stores trying every clothes ( Fur! ), english-style hats and high heels on and back home eaten the left-over rice pudding and a piece of german cake with my housemate... waited until nite and had a JUNK FOOD welcoming dinner with my other housemate's parents- PIZZA HUT....so full, and it's good that, i could eat only one piece of pizza, grap a few bites of potato wedges and a cup of pepsi, happy that we were able to left quite a lot of food rather than eaten them all~

16th Oct. Day out
hadn't had a gd sleep and woke up quite late...felt a bit shame actuallly~ then started a day out with my housemate's parents....dined in an italian resturant in town and i ordered a prawn pasta, which was quite nice.....well..in fact really wanna order coffee and dessert coz the resturant got some really gd stuff which we had tried b4...but seems everyone didn't feel the same and thus .... or should say luckily, i was ( forced to ) kept under control! shopped round the town again and at nite his parents cooked for us...滷水雞& 腐乳炒雜菜with Japenese noodles...and what's more... since we hvn't eaten proper home-made chinese food for so long and thus everything "chinese" and "home-made" taste so gd to us... AND EVEN MORE, Mr. Yau is a chef and Mrs. Yau is also a gd cook...which meant that this meal is really really delicious (... to me...i hvn't really asked how'd my other housemate feel)
we had grapes and apple after dinner AND red wine with Macau peanuts ( 蝦子花生) b4 we went to bed........yea..i know i ate alot again...

17th Oct. Get back on track ...hopefully
today get back to work...morning eaten 2 piece of toast and a cup of instant cereal...and sinfully a few choc. at work again...and LUNCH with OILY PIZZA and ONION BREAD left fr. Saturday...to compensate for the wild days during weekend i've gone to work out for 2 hrs...back home deforsted ( being kept in the freezer to avoid it turns mouldy, suggested by Mrs. Yau ) a piece of bread and drank the left over soya milk in the fridge...and 2 of us reheated the chicken and cooked some brocrolli and lettuce with rice for dinner. i predicted that i m going to eat quite a lot during my housemate's parents' stay.....i just hope that my work out can really work out!!!!

14/10/05 food diary

  • breakfast: 2 toasts
  • morning tea break: instant cereal drink
  • lunch: hotdog prepared by my housemate..using his germany sausage and germany mustard (?)
  • at work: one choc. and a few choc. coated sweeties again
  • back fr. work: toast again
  • dinner: a small bowl of my housemate's fried rice
  • DESSERT: rice pudding.....yes! i made it and i ate it...wanna cook dessert and this is easy....of course not eaten by myself alone la..shared with my housemates ...and i've just eaten a few spoons... to lower my guilt ....

the taste of the pudding is ok...hv a v. sweet smell....i think it would be better if its texture can be a bit more chewy...

13/10/05 food diary

today work late-shift:

  • breakfast: oat porridge using unsweetened soya milk+1 slice of granary toast
  • lunch: behave badly....sandwich with lettuce, a thin piece of ham, 2 spoons of fatty 紫菜豬肉鬆 AND...dunno y...felt that i haven't used the XO Sauce for a long time and thus added 2 table spoons into my sandwich...which is a bit oily.......
  • at work: altogether eaten 3 choc. today
  • arrived home: ate a toast while thinking of what to prepare for dinner
  • dinner: dunno what to cook and thus just eat porridge+toast again...

supposed to be doing some exercise in the morning...but i didn't.....

12/10/05 food diary

Yesterday is a naughty day, though I hv gone to work out.

  • breakfast: 1 1/2 slices of wholemeal plain toast (1/2 slice coz I left it on the table and forget to bring along when i left home
  • at work: quite a few chocolates....coz a patient bought us Thronton's one...which is quite nice...and everyone just can't resist its temptation! I feel so guilty ......
  • lunch: vege salad...with a little bit chilli sadin....
  • after work out b4 dinner: start deteriorating...just can't help feeling hungry and ate 2 plain toasts
  • dinner: in fact can stop eating but just feel like I should hv a "proper" dinner( not really proper but just always feel that I should eat "dinner" in dinner time) thus...cook vege noodles with half a lettuce and unneccessarily added TWO sausages....full..but still hv a feeling of want to eat more....
  • while waiting for the washing: saw a bread cover ( 1st piece of bread in a loaf ) lonelily left behind...thus just ate it!

I GUESS MY WORKOUT COULDN'T REALLY WORK OUT!!

What I've tried to cook b4

  • 薯仔炆雞脾- 煮過好幾次,初初整時d汁稀得滯唔夠味,最後幾次都ok啦!

1st time cook it only in rice cooker when I'm still livnig alone!

  • 魚香茄子- 自覺幾好味啦...但油咗d, 同埋嗰時屋企唔夠豉油所以用埋老抽...所以成煲嘢好深色...比較樣衰..that's y 唔影相!
  • 白汁魚扒意粉- 焗魚,長通粉&用奶加雜豆加粟粉煮咗個白汁,自覺ok...懷疑個汁其實可以當忌廉湯飲...哈哈!!
